I just love it when Detroit makes the news
Houses cheaper than cars in Detroit
“As Detroit reels from job losses in the U.S. auto industry, the depressed city has emerged as a boomtown in one area: foreclosed property. “

I’m banking on the city turning around at some point. If Jenny from the block plays her cards right she could get businesses to move to the metro area at a steep discount to bring in quick revenue and build on that growth. However, with all the school funding cuts, automotive industries in a severe slump, suppliers suffering, and the unstable everything-else-market there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. Still, this city has a lot to offer we just need people to realize it.
In hindsight I probably should have bought a house somewhere else, time will tell… as long as I can stay employed I won’t be another cheap property for someone to snap up.
