I upgraded my IMac, really just my fancy IPod doc, to Leopard and it sure was easy. There is 300 new features and I could really care less about most of them. The one thing that got me all excited was the new terminal. I used to use ITerm because the OSX terminal was a pile but they really fixed it up. Maybe some day they will catch up to my most beloved terminal Konsole.

So something went a little funny with my wordpress upgrade today. It was definitely a serious problem located between the keyboard and the chair. It would seem you may want to follow the directions and make sure to update your wordpress database if needed. Something you may not want to do is get completely distracted when doing the upgrade and not check your work for a few hours.
On a few other notes:
- The Ubuntu Release Party was a blast
- The Slashdot 10 year birthday party was fun
- I will post pictures if I ever find my camera
- I decided to start playing with Python

SUN the hyperactive company
Wednesday, October 17th, 2007A recent blog post titled “Poll: Novell or Sun Microsystems?” managed to get me all excited today. Aaron Toponce posted a poll on his blog asking who you would rather work for. He went on to state his answer, SUN and the reasons. I just could not this go by without saying something so I posted this is the comments:
I would have to say Novell any day over SUN. The main reason I would select Novell over SUN is SUN has appeared to me as jumpy as a squirrel on jolt when it comes to products and company direction. Specifically Hammy the hyperactive squirrel from Over the Hedge comes to mind. Someone made a great joke image (below) on this line of thought.

So I just want to make a few more points
- People seem to have amnesia and forget that SUN and Microsoft struck a deal years before Novell
- Novell has helped Ifolder, Mono, Banshee, Evolution, Compiz, AppArmor, F-Spot…
- Novell has deals in place with more OEM companies: AMD, IBM, Dell…
John Anderson wrote a nice response to Aaron Toponce points. What are your thoughts?
