You????????ve never been passed out in a grave yard?
This weekend I went down to Columbus for the Ohio Linux Fest with some of the MUG (Michigan Unix Group) crew. The comedy started about two minutes after we left and realized we had to go back and pick up Tim. The trip down was pretty uneventful and went really fast. I think that was because we started to bitch about Solaris and with that much material the four hours just flew on by. The good news if that I launched OpenOffice on my laptop before I left so I was able to start typing this once we got to Columbus.
The first night there was a reception at the hotel and we went out to dinner. We met this cool guy Aaron that showed us a totally sweet new NMAP front end that he had helped work on. After dinner we met up with Harshy and ended going out to Gas Works Bar. A good time was had bye and and we partied up at the bar till past 2 AM. That really was the best thing to do considering that we had to get up for the events of Saturday at 8 AM.
Saturday I went to the Keynote then sat in to see just what it is that Jim McQuillan does and what this whole LTSP think is. After the LTSP I went to listen to Aaron Seigo talk about the Hidden Gems in KDE. It was a great presentation where he spent half the time just showing the things he likes about KDE. Things that once you get used to you can not live without. We ran to Max and Ermas for lunch and then I spent some time checking out the vendors and sponsors that came down. The next presentation I went to was Jorge????????s rocking presentation on Ubuntu. I also got to run around and chuck Ubuntu CDs at people who needed them. I tried and tried but did not manage to hit anyone in the head. There was another few talks and then we went to dinner. This is when I started taking pictures and we all started drinking. For more details on the evenings debauchery you should check out my Flickr album from the images of the night.
