For those few readers of my blog that do not already know I am the Con Char for Penguicon 4.0. There has been some talk about getting 1000 people to the con and I have decided to set this as a major goal for me. I want to post if hear so that it has been publicly stated and people know what I will be spending my time working on. I am a person that works best under pressure and with high goals. I set this goal so that Penguicon can totally kick ass this year. It will not be easy and I need to get the publicity mill working over time and at 110%. I am starting right now with this blog.

Do you want a bigger con than year 2? I can make year 4 bigger than year 2.
Just say the word.We need to advertise: online, room parties, flyers, word of mouth, etc.
We need a strong anchor guest to rival Pratchett and Gaiman.
We need an array of nifties at least 15 deep.
We need strong panel programming lined up as far ahead of time as possible.
We need fun strange events (chaos machine is good but not at this point new.
Liquid Nitrogen ice cream would be new for Penguicon. Something with
computer gaming would be good, but heck a celebrity poker tournament would be
something.)We need audio from previous years put up on the website.
We need a con blog that updates at _least_ three times a week, even when
there’s nothing to say. (Comment on the _weather_, just let people know
we’re here and alive and moving towards the con.) Something with an rss feed
would be preferable.That’s just the start, by the way. Do you want 1000 people this year? How
bad do you want it?
